Remedial Coaching

Students are generally composed of slow learners, mediocre and advanced learners.The slow learners of UG programmes find it difficult to cope with the curriculum without additional assistance and hence to instill confidence in them to perform their examinations better remedial coaching is being given. The classes are scheduled between 4:00 and 5:00 pm and sometimes due to special reasons the classes are rescheduled to 1:30 to 2:00 pm. All the subjects are included and a general time table is framed for the entire college. Language, Allied and Major subjects are taught every day by following the day order.

Objectives

• To cope with the curriculum.
• To overcome language problem.
• To train in presenting coherent answers.

Activities

• The selection of students for the remedial classes is based on the performance in the internal examination and classroom involvement.
• Faculty advisors keep track of the whole process by maintaining an exclusive register for these remedial coaching classes.
• Complex topics are simplified to enable the students to face the examinations confidently.
• The repeated learning of the concepts and the peer learning in the classes increase their confidence and clarity.
