Entrepreneurial Development Cell
Entrepreneurial Development Cell of our college was inaugurated on 14th August 2013 to imbibe entrepreneurial trait among the student community and to encourage the students to come up with new business ideas to meet their livelihood. Our college has signed MoU with Salem Productivity Council and Khadi and Village Industries Commission to promote the Industry Institute Collaboration and Skill Development among students. The college is organizing DST-NIMAT sponsored Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp to final year science students from 2017 onwards which throws a lime light on the importance and need for the career option as an entrepreneur. Several hands on training programmes like home products, textile printing, traditional embroidery, traditional sweet and savory making, basic tailoring, garland making, seed ganesha idol making, etc. were conducted to impart skill among the students. We also organized several workshops on business model, funding agencies, design thinking, intellectual property rights, start up funded by EDI, Tamilnadu. Our students actively participated in Naan Mudhalvan – Niral Thiruvela and EDII’S Hackathon conducted by EDI, Tamilnadu.
